What made you choose your primary specialty focus of law?

In family law, the clients that walk through your door for the first time are going through an incredibly difficult time in their lives. We tend to see people at their worst, when they are under emotional and financial stress but, by the end of the case, most clients are much better off, and much happier. It is incredibly rewarding to help real people with real problems, and the results we achieve have real meaning and impact on our clients lives.

What makes your law firm unique?

The seven lawyers that make up Grossman Law Offices have over 125 years of combined family law experience. Our Firm is AV Preeminent Rated by Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review, the highest rating possible for Ethical Standards and Legal Ability. Our firm and Jeff and Andrew Grossman are listed in Best Lawyers in America. Every lawyer in the firm who is eligible to achieve the designation of Board Certified Specialist in Family Relations Law has done so. We are one of a handful of family law firms in the state of Ohio to have two attorneys accepted as Fellows of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and the only firm in Central Ohio to have a Diplomat of the American College of Family Trial Lawyers. All of our eligible attorneys have been recognized as an Ohio Super Lawyer or an Ohio Super Lawyer, Rising Star. Being one of the largest "family law only" firms in Ohio allows us to handle cases of any size while always practicing at the highest level.

Describe your ideal client.

My ideal client is one who is interested in being involved in his/her case. The attorney-client relationship is very much a partnership of equals, and neither can operate at their best without the complete attention and assistance of the other.

Describe your personal interest and hobbies.

What I enjoy the most is spending time with my wife and our three young children. Work is demanding, and family law cases can be very difficult and taxing, but nothing wipes away all of the stress like walking though the door at the end of the day and seeing those smiling faces. In addition to family, traveling, red wine, tennis and skiing are the hobbies I enjoy the most.

Describe your charitable activities.

I am extremely proud of my service to the Central Ohio community. This community has been very good to my family, and we have a strong belief in giving back whenever possible. It's easy to make a donation, but making a difference is much more challenging (and much more rewarding). Currently, I sit on the Board of Directors of Wexner Heritage Village and the Columbus Jewish Day School.
